Distance is the price
Suppliers price rural placements off drive time from their yard, and Central Texas yards cluster around Austin, Round Rock, San Marcos, Killeen and New Braunfels. A property forty-five minutes past the nearest yard carries a real delivery premium and a real service premium every visit.
This is exactly where getting quotes from several suppliers pays. The spread between the supplier whose route already passes your county road and one who has to make a dedicated trip is frequently fifty percent or more on the same unit.
Access, gates and ground
Give the supplier a dropped pin, not an address. Rural addresses in Bastrop, Caldwell, Burnet and Milam counties routinely put a driver a mile from the actual gate.
Gate codes, combination locks and cattle guards all need to be handled before the first delivery and communicated again for every service visit. A driver who cannot get in still bills the trip.
Ground is the other constraint. A loaded service truck on soft black clay after a week of rain is a tow bill. Place units near a caliche road or a gravel pad where a truck can reach them without leaving improved surface.
Seasonal and ongoing placements
